The Sabine Index - John Fletcher Byrd

  17 Nov 1961 - Funeral services for John Fletcher Byrd, age 92,
who died Nov. 10, were conducted at Warren Funeral Home chapel at
2 p.m. Nov. 12 with Rev. V. R. Miller and and Rev. Paul Dupre
officiating. Interment was in Victoria cemetery under the
direction of Warren Funeral home.

  Pallbearers were Asa Calloway, Hunter and Arthur Byrd, R. M.
Jones, Jr., C. S. Moore and J. E. Arnold.

  Survivors are daughters, Mrs. F. J. Stroud of Many, Mrs. Ellen
Satcher of Many, Mrs. Otis Nezzie Perkins of Shreveport;
brothers, Joe Byrd of Alexandria and Pony Byrd of Toro; sister,
Mrs. Susan Bass of Hornbeck; 4 grandchildren, 7 great
grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
