Mrs. Essie Bell Barrett

  Funeral services for Mrs. Essie Bell Barrett, were held Monday,
Dec. 26, at Bethel Baptist Church in Many. Rev. C. R. Raney
officiated. Burial was in Negreet Cemetery, with Thomas Mortuary
in charge.

  Mrs. Barrett passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 1988, at the Sabine
Medical Center in Many.

  Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Mr. Edward Lee
Barrett; children, Clara B. White, Connie Sue White, and Edwina
M. Thomas, all of Many; one sister, Lizzie A. Sweet; three
sons-in-law, Andrew White, Vernon White, and Lamar Thomas, all of
Many; four grandchildren, Warren O. Smith, Harold Patton, Carvena
M. White, Diondra White; one great granddaughter, Crystal Palmer;
and other relatives.

  Two children preceded her in death, Clora Ann Calhoun, and Ralph
Edwards Barrett.
