  Mrs. Carrie Augusta "Gussie" Byrd - February 25, 1988

  Mrs. Carrie Augusta Byrd, 85, died at Sabine Medical Center in
Many on Feb. 22, 1988.

  Services were held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Hornbeck
on Feb. 25, 1988 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Doyle Carpenter officiating.
Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include three sons; Lincoln Byrd of Ft. Neches, Tx.;
Neely Howard Byrd of Groves, Tx. and Harold J. Byrd of Ft.
Arthur, Tx.; one daughter, Lucille Magart of Shreveport; nine
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Neely Hunter Byrd.
