  Ethel Gieger Barrett - April 21, 1988

  Services for Mrs. Ethel Gieger Barrett, 98, of Converse were
held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at the First Baptist Church in
Converse. The Rev. James Miller and the Rev. J. R. Herron
officiated. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery near Converse under
the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield.

  Mrs. Barrett died Wednesday, April 13, 1988 at Heritage Manor
Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and a
member of Converse First Baptist Church and the Order of the
Eastern Star.

  She is survived by one son, Leroy Barrett of Romagor, Texas; two
daughters, Mrs. Bernice Nicols of Converse and Mrs. Doris
Marcantel of Converse; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren
and five great great grandchildren.
