Mrs. Jennie Lee Rains Britt

  Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Lee Rains Britt, 82, were held
Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m., at the Progress Presbyterian
Church in Pleasant Hill.

  The Reverend Oliver Cagle officiated. Burial was at the
Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's
Mansfield chapel.

  Mrs. Britt died on Monday, Sept. 21, in Mansfield, after a
lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Pleasant Hill,
and a member of the United Pentecostal Church, and was a
homemaker.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Joseph Britt;
and one son, Ollie J. Britt.

  Survivors are five sons, Dallas R. Britt of Pleasant Hill, Perry
L. Britt of Mansfield, Raleigh H. Britt of Marthaville, Muriel M.
Britt of Many, Elmer V. Britt of Gloster; one daughter, Theresa
B. Dyess of Shreveport; one sister, Mavis Williamson of Baton
Rough; five brothers, Nolan Rains of Pleasant Hill, Roland Rains
of Baton Rouge, Gordon Rains of Pleasant Hill, Wilmer Rains of
Shreveport, and Bobby Rains of Houma; 20 grandchildren; eight
great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

  Grandsons served as pallbearers.
