"Red" Byrd, 79, were held at 2:30 p.m., at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Monsignor William O'Hanlon of Holy Trinity officiated. Interment was in Forest Park Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mr. Byrd passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 1995, in Shreveport, following a brief illness. Mr. Byrd was a native of Florien, and a resident of Shreveport. He was a retired office manager for Standard Plumbing Company; a veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion, Holy Rosary Church, and the Progressive Men's Club. He is survived by his widow, Jo Ann Byrd, Sam and Judy Bayliss of Houston; brothers, Carroll Byrd and Sullivan Byrd, both of Many; grandchildren, Aelicia Bayliss of Houston, and Kyle Bayliss of Boca Raton, Fla. Pallbearers were Harold Boogaerts, Joe Russo, Eddie Savannah, James E. Bayliss, Andrew Wayne Jones, Richard Byrd, Gerald Byrd, and Sam Francis Cicero. Honorary pallbearers were Dominic Messins Jr., David Byrd, Eddie Savannah Jr., and Robert Savannah.
