Mrs. Emmie Byrd

  Mrs. Emmie Byrd, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 20, at IHS South in
Many.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, at
Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at
Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Ward 2. The Rev. Wilton Anthony, and the
Rev. Otis Brannam officiated.

  Survivors include her husband, Arthur Byrd of Many; six
daughters, Mary Lee Palmer, and Mellionee Flores, both of
Shreveport, Charlene Owens of St. Paul, Minn., Evelyn Griffin,
and Dorothy Langley, both of Many, and Charlotte Kay Barnes of
Clinton, Miss.; two sons, R. J. Byrd of Many, and Jerry Byrd of
Odessa, Texas; one sister, Eula Self; 19 grandchildren; 27 great
grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces,
nephews, and friends.
