Mrs. Doris W. Byrd

  Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Byrd, 52, of Many, were held
Sept. 2, at the Beulah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Cody Salter
officiating. Burial was held in the Beulah Cemetery.

  Mrs. Byrd died in Many, Aug. 31, after an extended illness. She
is survived by two sons, Benny Walker of Hemphill, Tex., and
Donnie Walker of Many; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Oxley of
Negreet, Mrs. Bobby Cryer of Hemphill, and Mrs. Sarah Pilcher of
Many; her mother, Mrs. Mae Armstrong of Negreet; three sisters,
Mrs. Estelle Brandon of Noble, Mrs. Jenny Brandon of Zwolle, and
Mrs. Leodia Blackwell of Negreet; and 12 grandchildren.
