Mrs. Sophronia C. Beard

  Mrs. Sophronia C. Beard, 86, of Shreveport, died April 15, after
an extended illness in Shreveport.

  Funeral services were conducted at the Jennings Chapel Methodist
Church, April 17, with the Rev. C. C. Carver of Shreveport
officiating. Interment was in the Bethany Cemetery of
Marthaville, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home
of Many.

  Pallbearers were Stanley Barton, Dock Olliff, Bennie Salter,
Bonnie Williams, Charles Bailey, and Roland Davis.

  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Constable of
Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Sanders of Pleasant Hill; 14
grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and 12 great-great
grandchildren.
