Survivors are her husband, T. J. Byrd of Vowels Mill; two sons, Huey P. Byrd of Vowels Mill, and Herman Byrd of Columbia; four daughters, Clara Rhodes of Gatesville, Tex., Doris Bynog of Shreveport, Clovis Jean Whitehead of Natchitoches, and Glendogayle Fenison of Beaumont, Tex.; three half brothers, C. D. Tynes of Seminole, Texas, James Tynes of Shreveport, and C. V. Tynes of Cypress; one sister, Bertie Butty of Orange, Tex.; four half sisters, Mrs. Daniel Dees of Many, Mrs. Vera Honeycutt of Robeline, Mrs. Floyd Mitchell, and Mrs. Velma Pleasant, both of Natchitoches; 22 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Services were held in the New Cedran Baptist Church, Tuesday, March 1, at 2:30 a.m., with the Bro. A. P. Murphy of Alexandria, and Bro. Don McCormick of Alexandria, officiating. Burial was in the Cedran Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
