  Doye Strickland Bradford - June 16, 1988

  Funeral services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral
Home Chapel, 8801 Mansfield Rd. for Mrs. Doye Strickland
Bradford, 51, of Shreveport at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 9. The Rev.
Norman Neely of the Longstreet Baptist Church officiated.
Interment was a Centuries Memorial Park.

  Mrs. Bradford, a native of Florien, La. entered into rest
Tuesday, June 7, 1988 at LSU Medical Center after a lengthy
illness. She was a resident of Shreveport since 1956 and was a
long time employee of the Veterans Administration Medical Center
where she was employed at the time of her death. She was a member
of the Huntington Park Church of the Nazarene, and member of The
National Association of Kidney Patients.

  She is survived by her husband, Franklin Bradford of Shreveport,
her father, John Azah Strickland of Florien, La.; two daughters
and sons-in-law, Donna Renee and Keith Lockhart, Lisa Dianne and
Andrew Rogers of Shreveport, La.; one precious granddaughter,
Amanda Lockhart, seven sisters, Laverne Blackmon, Colene Anglin,
Robbie Parker, Betty Whittington, all of Shreveport, Mary Loou
McClung of Natchitoches, La.; Shirley Brock of Florien, La. And
Iva Stewart of Bethany, Okla.; four brothers, Hoy and Fred
Strickland of Shreveport, Freeman Strickland of Dallas, Texas and
Loy Strickland of Florien, La., a number of nieces and nephews;
and a host of other relatives and friends.

  Pallbearers were Rex Anglin, Bob Anglin, Joey Mercer, Keith
Mercer, Bobby Eizel and John Whittington.

  The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. George
DeVault and the staff of M.I.C.U. at LSU Medical Center.
