The Sabine Index - Mrs. Roy J. Bridges

  24 May 1940 - Funeral services for Mrs. Roy J. Bridges of Pleasant
Hill, who died Saturday morning were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the
Pleasant Hill Baptist church.  The Rev. E. C. Harris, pastor of the
Oakdale Baptist church, assisted by Rev. A. Frank Roberts, pastor of
the Pleasant Hill Baptist church and Rev. M. W. Beatle, pastor of the
Pleasant Hill, officiated.  Interment was in the Pleasant Hill
cemetery.

  Surviving are her husband; one son, Jimmy; her parents Mr. and Mrs.
G. P. Russell of Montrose; four sisters, Mrs. H. A. Dowden and Mrs.
Nezzie Belle Robinette of Shreveport, Mrs. E. C. Dowden of Fisher,
Mrs. Robert F. Gay of Colfax; two brothers, Joe M. Russell of
Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and Fred J. Russell of Montrose; a niece, Dottie
Dowden of Shreveport; three nephews, Jow Russell, Jr., of Tuscaloosa,
Ala.; Larry Robinette of Montrose, and C. H. Dowden of Fisher.

  Pallbearers were Herbert Monsely, Orville McCullough, Joe Sanders,
G. C. Fuller, Dr. H. M. Prothro and W. L. Freeman.
