The Sabine Index - Katie A. Bridges 
  
  13 Nov 1959 - Funeral services for Mrs. Katie A. Bridges, 87 
were held in Spring Ridge, with the Rev. Cecil Sally officiating. 
Burial was in Spring Ridge cemetery under the direction of Warren 
Funeral Home. 
  
  Mrs. Bridges died in Shreveport Sunday after a lengthy illness. 
  
  Survivors include three daughter, Mrs. O. G. Heidelberg of 
Gladewater, Mrs. F. F. Foster of Kilgore, Texas, and Mrs. Zelma 
Cunningham of Elizabeth, five sons, G. P Bridges of Maringouin, 
P. P. and H. H. Bridges of Pleasant Hill, and A. R. and O. L. 
Bridges of Houma; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth McGee of Converse and 
Mrs. Sadie Layseth of Mitchell, four brothers, Slub, Scott and 
John Heard of Converse and Steve Heard of Mansfield and 30 
grandchildren.
