Bridges, 70, of Leesville and Pleasant Hill, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 7, at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. Officiating was the Rev. John Littleton of the Freedom Rest Baptist Church. Burial was at Self Cemetery in Leesville. Mrs. Bridges died at 2:15 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 1986, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, after a brief illness. Mrs. Bridges was born August 21, 1915, in Slagle, La. She was a housewife, and had lived in Victoria, Texas, for 23 years, before returning to Leesville and Pleasant Hill, in 1976. She is survived by her husband, L. L. Bridges; one brother, Norris Bush of Sulphur; one sister, Mrs. Rufus Ward of Leesville; nine nieces; seven nephews; and a number of grand nieces and grand nephews. Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Henry Bush; and two sisters, Mrs. Mack Redmond, and Mrs. Al Minnerly. Serving as pallbearers were Tres Redmond, Ronnie Mac Redmond, Bob Easley, Kenny Easley, Worley Bridges, and Rickey Kelley. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Ward, Lane Cox, Everett Merchant, and Johnny Cox.
