All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Edward Curtis Bridges Funeral services for Edward Curtis Bridges, 85, of Many, were held Saturday, Dec. 7, 1996, at 2 p.m., at Bible Missionary Baptist Church in Hornbeck. Officiating was Rev. Ernest Lord, Rev. Donnie Masters, Rev. L. R. Chance, and Rev. Larry Deloach. Interment was at Beckom Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Bridges died Thursday, Dec. 5, at his residence. He was a longtime resident of Hornbeck, before moving to Many, where he resided with his son. Mr. Bridges was a member of the Bible Missionary Baptist Church of Hornbeck, where he served as Deacon and Treasurer for many years. He was known by his friends and loved ones, for his love of God, Jesus his Savior, and his church. He was overheard many, many times talking to God about his church, his family, and his friends. Along with being a wonderful father to his son, he was his best friend, and his buddy. The family would like to express a special thank you to Samaritan Care Hospice of Louisiana, and two nurses, Kathy Alford, and Debbie Lagrange. Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Koonce Bridges. He is survived by one son, John Edward Bridges and wife Fay Bridges of Many; two granddaughters, Jennifer Bridges, and Renee Bridges Terrell, both of Many; three great grandchildren, Ashley, and Matthew Lovelady, and Jacob Terrell, all of Many.
