Mr. Brittain was self employed in the timber industry. He was a dedicated member of the Pendleton Assembly of God Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #236. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Pendleton Assembly of God Church in Many with interment following at Pendleton Assembly of God Cemetery in Many. The Rev. Daniel Davis, pastor of Pendleton Assembly of God Church, officiated and the Rev. John Brittain assisted. Survivors include his widow, Marie Brittain of Many; one son, Jesse James Brittain of Many; two daughters, Kimbra Gail Watson and husband, Jerry, of Sitka, Alaska and Tia Beason and husband, DeWayne, of Many; one sister, Bonnie Hearndon and husband, Bruce, of Shreveport; two brothers, Jimmy Brittain and wife, Charlotte, of Laramie Wyo, and John Brittain and wife, Mary, of Many; four grandsons; one granddaughter; one step-grandson; and two step-granddaughters. Pallbearers were John Brittain Jr., Randy Layfield, Timonthy Brittain, Narie Brittain, Benji Hogan and Keith Ussery.
