Bierden, 49, died Tuesday, April 22, in a hospital, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 24, in the Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery. Bierden was a native of Natchitoches Parish, and a resident of Red River Parish, for a number of years. He was the manager of the Randolph Marston Farms, president of the Red River Co-op, a member of the Red River Parish Catlemen's Association, the Red River Farm Bureau, member of the board of directirs of the Red River Parish Fair Association. He was a 32nd Mason, and a shriner, and a member of the Jordan Ferry Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow; three sons, Dale Bierden, Kenneth Bierden, and Loyd Bierden, all of Coushatta; father, J. T. Bierden Sr. of Coushatta; one brother, J. T. Bierden Jr. of Coushatta; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Downs, and Mrs. Trixie May, both of Shreveport; and Dixie Mary of Pleasant Hill.
