John T. Bierden

  John T. Bierden, 84, of the Jordan's Ferry community in
Natchitoches Parish, died Wednesday, July 5, in his home, of a
self inflicted shotgun blast, according to Natchitoches Parish
Coroner, Dr. Charles Cook.

  Services were at 10 a.m., Friday, in the Rockett-Nettles Funeral
Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lloyd LaComb officiating. Burial was
in Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville.

  Survivors include one son, J. T. Bierden Jr. of Coushatta; three
daughters, Margaret Downs, and Trixie May, both of Shreveport,
and Dixie Mary of Pleasant Hill; one brother, Marvin Bierden of
Coushatta; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
