Verlene Brittain

  Funeral services for Mrs. Verlene Brittain of Many, were held
Saturday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m., at Pendleton Assembly of God
Church. Interment was at Pendleton Assembly of God Cemetery, with
Bro. C. E. Bell officiating. Services were under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Brittain died at Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria on
Thursday, Oct. 23, at the age of 60.

  Surviving relatives include her husband, Elbert Brittain of
Many; three sons, Jimmy Brittain, Pleasant Hill, John Brittain,
James Brittain, both of Many; one daughter, Bonnie Herndon of
Shreveport; three sisters, Margarette Pilcher, Many, Lucy May,
Daisetta, Tex., Mrs. Brown, Humble, Tex.; and 13 grandchildren.
