Mrs. Bessie Barton

  Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Barton of Noble, were held
Saturday, December 17, at 2 p.m., at the Shady Grove Baptist
Church. Bro. Jerry Schmucker, and Bro. Ernest Lilley officiated.
Burial followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery.

  Mrs. Barton died at 8:15 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 1983, at
the age of 79, in the Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport,
following an extended illness.

  The Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many was in charge of funeral
arrangements.

  She is survived by one son, A. E. Barton of Noble; two
daughters, Mrs. Vivian Gray, Lodi, Ohio, and Mrs. Margie Boyd,
Vidor, Tex.; two brothers, Robert Bison, Noble, and Sam Bison,
Shreveport; two sisters, Bertie Anderson, Noble, and Bernice
Clark, Keithville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Pat Clements, Bernard Ryals, Archie Anderson,
Sam Bison Jr., Jim Clark, and Jim Clark Jr.
