Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Annie Lee Barton of Many; a son, Stanley, of Many; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Davis of Many, and Mrs. Gayle Salter of Minden; his mother, Mrs. Martha Berry of Belmont; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Salley of Belmont, Mrs. Margaret Darnell of Holley Beach, Mrs. Mattie Jennings of Shreveport, and Mrs. Beth Williamson of Cushing, Tex.; two brothers, Earl Barton of Pleasant Hill, and Dan Barton of Mansfield; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the United Pentecostal Church of Many, Nov. 7, with the Rev. Bill White officiating. Burial was in Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many. Pallbearers were Andry Strickland, Walter Sculthorpe, Milford Manasco, Dr. L. O. Tackett, Norman Knippers, and W. C. Warmack.
