Sam Berel

  Mr. Sam Berel, 69, of Florien, died in Many, November 15, at
3:14 p.m., after an extended illness.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nettie Berel of Florien, two
sons, Joseph Eugene, and Samuel Dean Berel, both of Angleton;
three daughters, Mrs. Martha Sibley of Angleton, Tex., Mrs. Betty
Cobb of Vidor, Tex., and Mrs. Linda Watkins of Vidor, Tex.; three
sisters, Mrs. Rena Williams, Mrs. Nettie Hollis, and Mrs. Willie
Mae Jackson, all of Florien, 10 grandchildren, and two great
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church of
Florien on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Avon
Cavanaugh officiating. Interment was in the Florien Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
