John Burlison

  Funeral services for John Burlison, 84, of Hornbeck, were held
Feb. 14, in the First Baptist Church of Hornbeck, with the Rev.
T. J. Crosby, and the Rev. Ken Goode officiating. Burial was in
Self Cemetery near Hornbeck, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  He died Thursday, Feb. 12, after a lengthy illness.

  Surviving relatives include his wife, Nancy Self Burlison of
Hornbeck; five sons, C. D., and Oscar Burlison, both of Hornbeck,
Johnnie Burlison of Great Lakes, Ill., and Bennie Burlison of
Austin, Tex., and Charles Burlison of Alexandria; two daughters,
Mrs. Lorena Stringer of Hornbeck, and Mrs. Geneva Anderson of
Stanley; 26 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
