Mrs. Irene L. Brown

  Mrs. Irene L. Brown, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999 at Sabine
Medical Center in Many.

  Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at First
Baptist Church of Hornbeck with interment following at Prewitt's
Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Hoffman and the Rev. William Roy
Dowden officiated.

  Survivors include her son, Lee A. Brown and wife Joy of Hornbeck;
one daughter, Pat Cavanaugh and husband Jack of Hornbeck; one sister,
Ilia Blackwell of Rosepine; three grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Brown
was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Atlas C. Brown.

  Pallbearers were Mac Barns, Roger Watley, Larry Moore, Garland
Cavanaugh, Frankie Howard and Wilbert "Bill" Wilson. Honorary
pallbearers were the deacon body of Hornbeck First Baptist Church.
