Sam Brown

  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Mar. 16, at 2 p.m., in the St.
John the Baptist Catholic Church for Sam Brown, 86, of Many, who died
Sunday, March 15, after a long illness. The Rev. T. J. Lennon officiated
at the services, with interment in the St. John's Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors are three sons, Bernice Brown of New Orleans, J. R. Brown of
Mansfield, and S. L. Brown of Morgan City; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine
Batchelor of Lake Charles; one sister, Mrs. Victoria Powell of Carthage,
Tex.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and several neices and
nephews.
