Barron Amos James Barron, 89, formerly of Pleasant Hill, died Tuesday. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, in the Drewett Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Ritchey officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. J. J. Bresenham of Longview, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Phillips of Mansfield; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Barron has written many articles for the Index for many years, and we know he will be missed by all who knew him. He served as bookkeeper for T. W. Hardee Co. in Pleasant Hill for many years.
