Brent Fleming, the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, and the Rev. Winston Lowe officiating. Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Brown died Sunday, April 9, at 3:20 a.m., after an extended illness. Surviving relatives are Mrs. Lola Brown of Many; one son, John H. Brown of Many; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Wiley of Terrell, Tex., Mrs Merle Dockens of Zwolle, Mrs. Barbara Ann Broksh of Gosse Tete, and Mrs. Gladys McCollister of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Stewart of Florien, and Mrs. Maude Pemberton of Port Neches, Tex.; five step-sons, Elmer Faust of Rome, Ga., Sidney Faust of Robeline, Jerry Faust of Belcher, Willie Faust of Crowley, and Oscar Faust of Shreveport; four step-daughters, Mrs. Lucille Brossett of Natchitoches, Mrs. Nan Armstrong of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Ouida Marcella of Houma, and Mrs. Betty Rains of Shreveport; eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clayton Faust, Wilford Mitchell, Wingate Dowden, Willie Bell, Thurmon Reid, and G. A. Bush.
