All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Herman Cecil Brown Funeral services were held for Herman Cecil Brown Friday, May 5, at Livingston, Texas, with interment in Ebenezer Cemetery in Huntsville, Tex. Mr. Brown died Wednesday, May 3, in M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. The Hospital is an extension of the University of Texas School of Medicine, and is noted for the research of cancer and tumor. A post mortem was granted by the family in order to further the research of these dreaded diseases. Mr. Brown was born at Loring, La. on May 19, 1904. He was the eldest son of James Robert and Alice Leona Brown. He lived in Fisher and Florien until moving to Texas in the thirties. He has lived in Livingston for the past 15 years, of which three of these were in retirement. Brown is survived by his mother of Houston; a sister, Irene of Houston; five brothers, Arville of Texas City, Ferrel of Conroe, Tex., Wayne, Harold, and J. R. of Houston, and a number of nieces and nephews.
