Funeral rites were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27, in First Baptist Church in Coushatta. Burial was in Springville Cemetery, under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home of Coushatta. Mrs. Brown was a native of Red River Parish, and attended Coushatta High School, and Louisiana College, Pineville. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Converse. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Don Brown of Converse; two daughters, Miss Rebecca Ann Brown of Pineville, and Miss Wera Gayle Brown of Converse; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee C. Smith of Coushatta, her maternal grandmother, Mrs. D. C. Brown of Coushatta; and nine aunts and uncles.
