Brown, 90, died Thursday, Feb. 1, in a nursing home in Shreveport, following a long illness. He was a former resident of Marthaville. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, in Spring Ridge Church, near Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. Byram E. Ray officiating. Burial was in Spring Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home of Coushatta. Mr. Brown was a native of Booneville, Miss. He was a retired farmer. He leaves four sons, J. B. Brown of Marthaville, Sebb Brown of Orange, Tex., Tom Brown of Beaumont, Tex., and Travis C. Brown of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. J. W. Maines of Mansfield, Mrs. Lois Kornegay of Beaumont, and Mrs. Wayne Dodson of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Jamerson of Pleasant Hill; one brother, Hugh Brown of Pleasant Hill; and 14 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
