The Sabine Index - Nannie Jane Franklin Brown 
  
  12 May 1939 - Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Dees, Mr. and Mrs. Gasway 
German and daughters, Misses Martha V. and Betty Lou, and Mrs. 
Darwenia and John German attended the funeral last Thursday of 
their aunt, Mrs. Nannie Jane Franklin Brown, who died in 
Leesville sanitarium Thursday night from the effects of a burn 
received when her house was burned Thursday morning. 
  Mrs. Brown was a half sister of the late Mrs. German who died 
recently at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. G. Dees. 
  
  Mrs. Brown was about 64 years old, and in trying to save some of 
her effects was fatally burned. 
  
  The remains were interred at the old family cemetery at Holly 
Grove.
