T. "Bear" Brown of Natchitoches, 63, died in Natchitoches on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 3:55 p.m. Brown is survived by his widow, Mrs. Opal Brown; his mother, Mrs. Lutitia Brown, Florien; two daughters, Miss Linda R. Brown, Natchitoches; and Mrs. Thelma Early, Belmont; two sons, Ben Herrin, Belmont, Greg Harring, Natchitoches; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Arrington, DeRidder; and Mrs. Maybel Funderburk, Bunkie; four brothers, Wayne Brown, Hemphill; Keith Brown, Welch, Glyn Brown, Welch; and Carl Brown, Florien. Funeral services were held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. V. L. Prewitt and the Rev. Earl Marr officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were W. D. Colston, Aubrey Colston, W. E. Lafitte, Ernest Bush, Herman Mcconathy and Ben D. Peterson. Honorary pallbearers was C. D. Hancock.
