Aris Brown

  Aris Brown, 71, of Hornbeck, died on Saturday, August 10, at
11:38 p.m., in Many, after an extended illness. Funeral services
were held on Monday, August 12, at 2 p.m., in Prewitts Chapel
Church, with the Rev. Leroy Chance, the Rev. Robert Graham, and
the Rev. Marvin Brown officiating. Burial was in the Prewitts
Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Erma Brown of Hornbeck; 2
sons, Edwin, and Ronald Brown, both of Hornbeck; 2 daughters,
Mrs. Emogene Airhart of Pasadena, Tex.; and Mrs. Genell Leach of
Adana, Turkey; 2 brothers, Gatherea Brown of Hornbeck, and
Granvil Brown of Milam, Tex.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Pearlee Snell, and
Mrs. Georgia Averitt of Hornbeck; and Mrs. Vela Fowler of
Houston, Tex.; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

  Masonic rites were performed at graveside.
