Brown, 75, of Shreveport, died at 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 16, in Doctors' Hospital, after a lengthy illness. A resident of Shreveport since 1952, Mr. Brown was a native and longtime resident of Pleasant Hill. He was a retired carpenter for Allen Millworks, and a deacon, and charter member of Parkhurst Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements were handled by Rose-Neath Funeral Home's South Side Chapel. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mirtice Raines Brown; one son, Earl Truman Brown of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Campbell of Shreveport; Mrs. Doris Ware of Mize, Miss., and Mrs. Mickey Veuleman of Pleasant Hill; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Tramel of Shreveport, Mrs. Mattie Rainer of Plainview, Texas, Mrs. Clara Harrell of Jackson, and Mrs. Elvie Phillips of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, Frank Brown, and Herman Brown, both of Pleasant Hill; nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
