The Rev. Raymond DeLaughter officiated. Burial was in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown died at 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, in Fraser Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born in Winnfield, Mrs. Brown had resided in Zwolle for over 50 years. She was an active choir member, and past office of the W. S. O. S. of the Zwolle Methodist Church. She was also a member of Bon Chase Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her husband, Max McLean Brown of Zwolle; one son, Charles E. Brown of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Key of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Manton Wood of Winnfield; one brother, Charles Kelley of Alexandria; and 9 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Marshall B. Hudson, Donald Brown, Kenneth Leone, Randall Parrott, Wesley Webb, and Bruce Gray. Zwolle Chief of Police Quinton Brandon was an honorary pallbearer.
