Cora M. Brown

  Mrs. Cora M. Brown of Hornbeck, died in the Fraser Hospital
South, Tuesday, June 2. She was 78 years old.

  Funeral services were held in the Prewitts Chapel Thursday, June
4, at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Graham, the Rev. LeRoy Chance,
and the Rev. Glen Flanagan officiating. Burial was in the
Prewitts Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  She is survived by four sons, Robert Brown, and John L. Brown of
Hornbeck, Ray Brown of Shreveport, and Jerry Lynn Brown of
Decatur, Ga.; three daughters, Daisy Powell of Hornbeck, Irene
Brown of LaPorte, Tex., and Margie Procell of Keithville; one
brother, Sidney McDaniel of Robeline; two step brothers, Monroe
McDaniel of Hornbeck, and Buford McDaniel of Leesville; 29
grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

  Mrs. Brown's body was taken to the Prewitts Chapel Church on
Wednesday, at 11 a.m., to lie in state until service time
Thursday.
