James Stephen Brown

  James Stephen Brown, 27, of Arcadia, died at his residence,
Thursday, Oct. 28, at 11:30 a.m., after an accident.

  Surviving relatives are his mother, Mrs. Flora Brown of New
Orleans; four sisters, Thelma Marie Benalt of Arcadia, Mary
Josephine Sprague, Betty Faye Meche, and Beverly Ann Hodges of
Rayne, and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home
Chapel, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m., with Brother Paul Ferrant, and
Father Giles Boyer officiating. Burial was in the Lakeview
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of
Many.
