She was born April 17, 1946, in Monahans, Texas. Mrs. Brown was a teacher for more than 20 years at Negreet Elementary School. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Many. She will always be remembered as a very loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, who brought joy to everyone she encountered. We all will miss her very much. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Many First United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Fort Jesup Cemetery. The Rev. Charlie Crews, and the Rev. C. J. Walea will officiate. Survivors include her husband, Glen Brown of Many; father, Dr. Leonard Tackett of Many; mother, Jannie Tackett of Many; two daughters, Beverly Leach of Fort Jesup, and Yanna Tannehill of Tullow; three sisters, Pam Curtis of Many, Sue Waggoner of Quitman, Texas, and Glenda Zick of Many; three grandsons, Dillon Brown, Lance Brown, and Gage Leach; one granddaughter, Laurlynn Humphries; aunt Johnnie Moore of Quitman, Texas; two step sons Austin Brown of Charlotte, N., C., and Chris Brown of Zwolle; a host of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
