Edward Gethern Brown

  Funeral services for Mr. Edward Gethern Brown, were held Monday,
June 6, 1983, at 11 a.m., at Prewitts Chapel Baptist Church.
Interment followed at Prewitts Chapel Cemetery. Services were
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Bro. Robert
Graham, and Bro. Hoyt Leach officiated.

  Mr. Brown of Hornbeck, died Saturday, June 4, at the age of 87,
in Many, after an extended illness.

  He is survived by his wife, Ellie Hilton Brown of Hornbeck; two
sons, Glen Brown, San Antonio, Tex., Merle Brown, Houston, Tex.;
two daughters, Vera Stubbs of Hornbeck, Joann Watkins, Anacoco;
one brother, Granvell Brown of Midland, Tex.; three sisters,
Pearlie Snell of Hornbeck, Vela Flowers of Houston, Georgia
Averitt, Hornbeck; three grandchildren; and two great
grandchildren.
