Father Angelo Messina, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial with V. F. W. graveside rites was at Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Brown died at 1:50 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1985, at Nurse Care Center, after a long illness. He was a native of Robeline, La., and had been a resident of Shreveport for most of his life. He was an electrician, and a member of the IBEW, and V. F. W. He is survived by his wife, Velma Brown of Shreveport; one daughter, Treva Pyles of Austin, Texas; a step daughter, Theresa Ray of Bossier City, La.; a step son, Albert Ray of Shreveport; 15 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Mr. Brown's grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were retirees of the local chapter of IBEW.
