The Rev. Vernon Stephenson officiated. Burial was at Springridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill. Mr. Bryan, a resident of Pleasant Hill for two years, died at 10 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 1985, in Lake Charles, La., after a long illness. He was the minister of music, a deacon, and chairman of the deacon board of the Brookwood Baptist Church in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank R. Bryan of Shreveport. He is survived by his wife, Bess Bell Bryan of Pleasant Hill, and Bob Bryan of Austin, Texas; one brother, Eugene R. Bryan of Santa Rosa, Calif.; three sisters, Olive L. Sawyer, Madie Havard, and Mary Elizabeth Miller of Mobile, Ala. Family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made to charity of donor's choice.
