Brown (Photo) Services for Mrs. John A. (Edith D.) Brown of Shreveport, were held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, at the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. W. Bradley Trimble of Monroe, La., and the Rev. Ralph N. McMichael, rector of St. Matthias Episcopal Church officiated. Burial was at Forest Park West Cemetery. Mrs. Brown died at 10:45 p.m., Sunday, September 1, 1985, at her residence, after a brief illness. She was a native of Mena, Ark. She was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church, a past president of Halcyan Study Club, and was a member of the Women's Department Club. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. B. Carter, Jr., and Mrs. Patricia DeCharles of Shreveport; five grandchildren, C. K. Carter III, Stephen B. Carter, Bradford W. DeCharles, and Lee Ann DeCharles, all of Shreveport, and Mrs. Robert Rentel of Dallas; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Morris O. Daniels of Zwolle, La. Pallbearers were Abry Cahn Jr., James A. Bolch, and Donald Greene.
