He was 67 years of age. Bill was born in Only, Tennessee, Sept. 30, 1918, to Thomas Monroe Brown, and Helen Owens Brown. He is married to the former Estelle Lovelady Brown of Many. He was a World War II Veteran, and a Mason. Bill had been the overseer for the R. J. Lucius estate, for the past 36 1/2 years, where he resided at the old home place. Bill was laid to rest on Feb. 1, at 4 p.m., at the Beulah Baptist Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Bro. Kenneth Leach, and Bro. Elcie Walker officiated. Pallbearers were Howard Blackwell, John Oliver, J. V. Lovelady, Richard Lee, Stafford Miller, Clayton Cleveland, Robert Steele, and Jerome Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were Clyde Anthony, W. C. Wright, Ben Cleveland, Leslie Lites, Rollie Lovelady, Howard Wright, Ronnie Broadway, Alvin Curtis, Amos Carter, Colen Phares, O. L. Rogers, Jimmy Oliver, George Salter, and George Evans. Bill is survived by his wife, Estelle Brown of Negreet; son, Robert (Bob) Brown of Florien; daughter, Mary Helen Lee of Wyoming. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Lissner of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Richard Lee, Sarah Mitcham, Joey Brown, C. J. Brown; and one great granddaughter, Jeopardi Mitcham. Bill will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
