Walter J. Browne Jr.

  Mr. Walter Jackson Browne Jr., 52, husband of Mrs. Patricia Sue
Hicks Browne, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, in West Calcasieu-Cameron
Hospital, Sulphur, La.

  A Hornbeck native, he served in the marines, and was a retired
welder.

  Survivors include his wife; two sons, Walter J. Browne III of
DeQuincy, and James Edward Browne of Elgin, Ill.; three sisters,
Bessie Stephens of Leesville, LaVerne Lam of Hornbeck, and Lenora
Gregory of Pascagoula, Miss.; and two grandchildren.

  Services were held Friday, Nov. 14, in Prewitt's Chapel in
Hornbeck, with Rev. C. V. Chance officiating.

  Burial, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home, was in the
church cemetery.
