  Vernon Brown - December 20, 1973

  Funeral services for Vernon Brown, 48, were at 1 p.m. Sunday,
Dec. 16 in the Pruitt Chapel in Hornbeck with the Rev. James
Burnett and the Rev. Doyle Carpenter officiating. Burial was in
the Pruitt Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the Vernon
Funeral Home of Leesville.

  Survivors are two sons, Dale Vernon Brown and Dennis Reid Brown,
both of Leesville; two daughters, Mrs. Billy Wayne Brooks of Lake
Charles and Sharill Suceile Brown of Leesville; eight sisters,
Mrs. Addison Laurence and Mrs. Lee Laurence of Toro, Mrs. Ralph
Wead, Mrs. John Finley, Mrs. Talmadge Dew, Mrs. Paul Savell and
Mrs. William T. Baker, all of Leesville and Mrs. Jesse Mullins of
Jasper, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. John I. Brown of Leesville.
