  Hiram Duncan Brown - January 7, 1988

  Final services for Mr. Hiram Duncan Brown were held at 10 a.m.
Jan. 1 in Prewitt Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. Glenn
Flenniken, Rev. Hoy Leach, Rev. Huey Haymon and Rev. J. D. Brown
officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Services were
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Brown died Wednesday, December 30, 1987, in Shreveport, at
the age of 100. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Brown
and two sons, Marvin and Grover Brown.

  He is survived by two sons, Oather Brown of Haughton, and Edward
Brown of Hornbeck; one daughter, Martha Fleming of Shreveport; 14
grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren, plus nieces and nephews.
