Officiating the service was the Rev. Billy Burkett, and the Rev. Alfred Mitchell. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Converse. Mrs. Brown died Monday, August 21, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mansfield, following a short illness. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mansfield. She is survived by one son, Richard G. Brown and wife Carolyn of Natchitoches; one daughter, Jean B. Miller and husband Bob of Mansfield; two sisters, Lilla T. Carroll and Marie T. Nicholas both of Mansfield; one brother, Johnnie N. Thompson of Converse; four grandchildren, Larry R. Miller and wife, Cecilia Denise Brown, Michael Brown, and Stacy Brown; one great grandson, Robert Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.
