Officiating was the Rev. Charles Duncan, assisted by Rev. Larry Hubbard. Burial followed in the Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mrs. Brown passed away Monday, February 26, at Schumpert Medical Center, following a brief illness. A native of Pleasant Hill, she was currently residing in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman D. Brown. Our mother leaves this family; three sons, Prentis Brown, Lathan D. and wife Johnnie Bell Brown, and Freddie L. and wife Shirley Brown, all of Shreveport; two daughters, Terry and husband George Gossett of Shreveport, and Brenda and husband Michael Lyddy of Many; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Adams, and Mrs. Noma Cox, both of Shreveport. Pallbearers were grandsons, Scott Brown, Chris Brown, and Corey Brown; and friends, Alan Morgan, Lewis Parker, and Bill McLeroy.
