Brown Jr., 67, were held at 3 p.m., at the Wallace Baptist Church in Wallace. Interment followed in the Wallace Cemetery. Rev. Hines officiated the services. Mr. Brown passed away at the V. A. Medical Center in Shreveport, on Tuesday, Oct. 10, after a brief illness. He is survived by one son, James Brown of Monroe; one daughter, Bertha Lawson of West Monroe; one sister, Catherine Batchelor of Lake Charles; one brother, Joseph Reuben Brown of Mansfield; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Brown was a native of Many; and a resident of Pleasant Hill for the past 4 years. He was a veteran of World War II, and a retired truck driver. Mr. Brown was a member of the Wallace Baptist Church. Pallbearers for the service were Gordon Lord, Bray Haire, H. H. Haire, Claude Hinds, B. B. Haire, and B. B. Haire Jr.
