Officiating was Rev. Oliver Cagle, pastor of Southside Baptist Church. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery near Converse. Mr. Brown died Thursday, November 15, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mansfield. He was born in Oak Grove, and resided in Columbus, Miss. For a number of years, before moving to Mansfield, where he had lived since 1978. Mr. Brown was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Reilly Brown. He is survived by three children, Natalie B. Gates of Mansfield, James Randolph Brown Sr. of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Jack Brown of Mansfield; one sister, Ruby Lee Permenter of Shreveport; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
